Blasercafé Faro Luzi Type

Refined Coffee Heritage

Blasercafé, the Swiss coffee manufacturer family-owned since 1922, has unveiled a fresh new look that is as revitalising as its renowned coffee. The packaging redesign seamlessly marries the company’s rich heritage with contemporary simplicity. By removing aluminium and adhesive tabs from its bags, Blasercafé reduces waste and achieves a sleek look.

When I asked Blasercafé why they chose the typeface Faro, they explained: “The choice of the Faro typeface for our logo and corporate communication was a carefully considered decision. We sought a typeface that perfectly reflects our values and identity. Faro beautifully combines the modern with the traditional. It exudes a playful lightness without losing its traditional character, allowing us to visually express both our roots and our forward-thinking approach. With Faro, we have selected a typeface that is more than just a design element. It serves as a visual cornerstone, ensuring that we maintain a cohesive and distinctive appearance both internally and externally.”

The design cleverly pays homage to the past by incorporating classic stripes drawn from the original 1960s packaging, while simultaneously exuding a playful appearance that revitalises the brand.
