The Hamburg Bureau Johannes Erler, along with Jamal Buscher, redesigned the Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg with great attention to detail.

The State Archives of Baden-Württemberg, which include all eight regional archives, have protected the region’s historical records since 1952. This collection features documents from earlier territories that date back to the Middle Ages. By actively improving cultural and social education, the Archives offer resources that are accessible both in person and online. As a vibrant cultural centre, it leads research in archival and information sciences while providing the public with a range of analogue and digital services.

The visual identity set the stage for improving how the public sees the State Archives. Using the typeface Buenos Aires enhances the visual identity with a clear and friendly look. The asterisk, now a key symbol of the State Archives, represents reliability and transparency. This helps ensure that present and future generations can explore the past using original historical documents.
