This covers collecting, storing, using, changing, sharing (including granting access, sending, or publishing), archiving, or destroying the data.

IV. What We Collect

When browsing the website:
We collect the following non-personally identifying information via server log files:

• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Requested URL (page visited)
• HTTP status code (e.g. 200, 404)
• Browser type and version (User-Agent)
• Operating system (via User-Agent string)
• Referring site (if available)
• Language preference (via browser settings)

We do use a self-hosted page counter that only records the number of visits per page. No personal data or additional information, such as IP addresses, browser data, user inputs, or user behaviour, is collected or stored.

When using our shop:
If you select a font in our shop, we store this selection using cookies (see section VIII). This is done to enhance your user experience. These cookies are automatically deleted after one day.

Our payment partner Stripe sets two cookies in our shop to enable their secure payment system. These are also automatically deleted when you close your browser.

If you accept the cookie notice in our shop, we store this selection with a cookie. This cookie is automatically deleted after 1 month.

When using our usage survey from:
When you use our survey page, we collect the following information:

• Full name of purchaser
• Purchaser’s email address
• Licence holder
• Licence holder’s address

When purchasing:
When you buy a licence, or you use our survey page, we collect the following information:

• Full name of purchaser
• Purchaser’s email address
• Purchaser’s address (optional)
• Licence holder
• Licence holder’s address
• VAT number (optional)
• IP address

We use this information to fulfil orders placed through our website. When you purchase a font or obtain trial fonts, you agree to at least one of our licence agreements and enter into a contractual relationship with us. We retain the corresponding data for the duration of this relationship.

Credit card information is processed solely and directly on Stripe’s servers. Luzi Type does not store any credit card details at any point.

When using Apple Pay, our payment system may collect technical usage data via Apple’s servers. This data is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

When using Google Pay, our payment system may collect technical usage data via Google’s servers. This data is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

When subscribing:
Additionally, we collect your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter.

V. What We Do Not Do

• We do not use external advertising or tracking services on our website.
• We do not add customers to our newsletter without explicit subscription.

VI. What We Share

If you place an order in our shop, we provide the necessary data to Stripe, our payment processing partner, to complete the transaction. Please see the Stripe privacy policy: www.stripe.com/privacy.

In line with our licence agreement, we can verify font usage and may involve a third party to confirm licence validity if necessary. This process is solely to ensure compliance with our terms. If your licence is valid, we may discuss essential details, limited to the licence type, purchase date, the email address used, and the Licence Holder. Access to this information is governed by a strict non-disclosure agreement for confidentiality and is restricted to specific verification requests, not general licence register access.

VII. Your Rights

We are glad to provide you with access to all the personal data we hold about you. You have the right to:

• Request correction of your personal data held by us (please note that the Licence Holder cannot be changed)
• Request deletion of your personal data, unless processing is necessary to exercise our rights to freedom of expression and information, comply with legal obligations, serve the public interest, or assert or defend legal claims
• Request restriction of the processing of your personal data
• Object to the processing of your data
• Receive information about the existence of any automated decision-making (not applicable at Luzi‑Type.ch)
• Withdraw your consent at any time – the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal remains unaffected
• Enforce your rights in court or complain to the relevant data protection authority (in Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner – www.edoeb.admin.ch)
