Amsterdam Museum

The designers Isabelle Vaverka and Hamid Sallali made the colourful redesign of the Amsterdam Museum.

The museum’s identity is closely linked to its new brand strategy, which focuses on building connections. This mission is supported by four other key values: Amsterdam, Open, Narrative, and Relevant.

The project includes several elements, such as a new logo, a unique typography system, an energising color palette, and a logomark inspired by Amsterdam’s Saint Andrew’s Cross. This unified identity is being applied across campaigns, media platforms, and three-dimensional designs in specific areas of the renovated Amsterdam Museum wing at Amstel 51.

Isabelle and Hamid carefully chose the typefaces Messina Serif and Matter from Displaay.
